After several months of anticipation, the Connecticut Transportation Safety Research Center (CTSRC) at the University of Connecticut is pleased to announce the arrival of our new, fully-loaded traffic safety driving simulator! Despite only begin physically installed last month, the simulator has been garnering interest for months, some of which has come from companies wanting to test their AV technology in simulated driving scenarios.

On a recent trip to the Human Factors Lab at the CTSRC, Hartford Courant reporter Rebecca Lurye got to experience driving the vehicle in the simulated scenarios we’ve created. You can read more about her experience here or check out my post here to learn more about the driving simulator.
